Disney hires Hulu, ABC & Amazon Studio execs for Rob Mills’ Alternative arm
Disney has added Hulu, ABC and Amazon Studio execs to its nascent unscripted production division led by Rob Mills.
Jill Chapman becomes VP of alternative series & planning at Walt Disney Television (WDR) Alternative, while Alicia Martino is now VP of alternative series and Mike Rosen joins as VP of VP of production.
The trio will all report into Tiffany Faigus, who became SVP of unscripted & alternative entertainment for both ABC Entertainment and WDR Alternative last year.
The execs will help WDT Alternative to develop unscripted shows for the Mouse House’s network ABC and its US-focused on demand service Hulu, as well as identifying new ideas, working with talent and supervising production.
Chapman was most recently leading unscripted development at Hulu, focusing on scripted reality and competitions, while Martino worked on The Bachelor for ABC and Love Island for CBS.
Rosen was latterly at Amazon Studios where he worked on shows including The One That Got Away and before that had been behind RuPaul’s Drag Race and Ex On The Beach for MTV.
Mills and Faigus said: “We are proud to have set the all-star team that will work with all of our creative partners across our platforms and beyond to produce the most groundbreaking and buzzworthy unscripted series and specials.”
