DRG appoints Khanom and Kanne-Behrendsen to key roles
Jess Khanom (pictured) has joined distributor DRG as SVP, responsible for placing content and developing relationships across Asia Pacific.
At the same time, Mette Kanne-Behrendsen returns as SVP factual acquisitions, after previously acting as maternity cover in 2017.
Khanom has held senior sales positions at companies such as Warner Bros International TV Production and Fox. In her new role, she will be responsible for licensing completed programming across all genres and also developing DRG’s formats business, which includes titles such as Doc Martin, Black Widows, The Farm and Don’t Tell the Bride.
Richard Halliwell, DRG’s CEO said: “Jess joins at an exciting time for the company: we’ve just moved into an amazing new space with some of our production partners and we have a number of interesting business developments in the pipeline. Her international experience, both in programme sales and in placing and managing formats and developing global brands, will be put to excellent use.”
Mette Kanne-Behrendsen, who has held senior roles at Off The Fence and Modern Times Group returns to DRG following a period of consultancy last year. She reports to EVP of content, Dave Clarke.
