Parrot Analytics appoints Cisneros to directors board

Cisneros Media’s Adriana Cisneros has joined the board of directors at Parrot Analytics, the TV data analytics firm.

Adriana Cisneros resizeCisneros will join Parrot’s CEO Wared Seger and board director Bruce Tuchman for a special presentation on audience demand measurement in the Latin American Market at the NATPE Miami marketplace early next year.

Current board members include David Bishop, a media industry strategist and former president of Sony Pictures Entertainment, as well as Adam Clark, an advisor to several start-ups and one of the founders of M-Com.

Cisneros said: “Over the past year or so, it has become abundantly clear to me that our conventional ways of measuring the popularity of content are vastly outdated and deficient. I made some sweeping changes within my own company to change our processes and, in so doing, became fascinated with big data analytics.

Seger said: “Adriana is without a doubt one of the most knowledgeable executives in our industry, in particular the Latin American media market and Latin market in the US.

“As a board member, she will be instrumental in helping us better address the needs of broadcasters, producers and OTT platforms throughout the region, as well as provide us with far-reaching access to media companies who can greatly benefit from our demand measurement system.

“We are operating at the intersection of media, technology and data science, and I’m most excited by Adriana’s intellectual firepower as we continue to guide the global industry through bleeding-edge developments.”

Cisneros has been CEO of the company that bears her name since 2013, when her father, Gustavo Cisneros, stepped down.
