A+E poaches finance chief from Scripps
A+E Networks UK, which runs the channel operator’s European operations, has recruited Mark Neil as its head of finance, bringing him over from Scripps Networks Interactive.
Neil will start in his new role in January, leading the finance team and will replace Jan Volschenk, who will leave at the end of the year.
At Scripps he was CFO, UK and EMEA. He has also worked at News Corp Europe, Discovery Communications, BBC Worldwide and Sky in a 25-year career in media.
At A+E he will report to Nicolas Eglau, COO at A+E Networks UK, and general manager, Nordics, the Benelux and CEEMEA who said: “Mark has an excellent track record in leading finance teams and has proven experience in shaping companies and driving growth.
“He will be a great addition to A+E Networks UK’s team as we continue to develop the company across all of our markets.”
Neil added: “I am thrilled to be joining the great team at A+E Networks UK. They are at an exciting point of their development and I am looking forward to playing my part in their future.”
