ITV poaches Jerry Bruckheimer exec
The US arm of ITV Studios has hired Michael Azzolino from Jerry Bruckheimer Television.
Azzolino will be executive VP, creative affairs, at ITV Studios America and start in his new role next month.
He will oversee development at the ITV unit, reporting to Philippe Maigret, president, ITV Studios America, who said: “Michael will bring with him deep relationships in the creative community and his considerable experience in the development and production of hit television programming.
“I am thrilled that he will be joining the ITV Studios America team as we build a creatively and commercially ambitious scripted TV business.”
Azzolino has been at Jerry Bruckheimer’s TV prodco for over a decade, latterly as an SVP, overseeing development and production. His credits include CSI, Cold Case, Without a Trace and Hostages. He also worked on upcoming CBS movie-to-TV adaptation Training Day.
He said: “After 11 phenomenal years at Jerry Bruckheimer Television, I am excited to join Philippe and his team at ITV Studios America. The studio is building an incredible environment for creatives to take advantage of the many opportunities available in our ever-evolving marketplace.”
Prior to working at Jerry Bruckheimer Television, Azzolino was at NBC, the WB and CBS.
