New animation chief for Tele Images after Welter exit
French producer Tele Images has hired a new senior VP, animation to replace Giorgio Welter.
Gladys Morchoisne takes up the new role on Monday (November 18), having previously been head of fellow French toon producer Futurikon’s studio and development slate.
Her appointment comes after Welter exited Zodiak Media-owned Tele Images at the end of September. She will report into Tele Images CEO Philippe Alessandri.
Tele Images is behind successful French toons such as Extreme Football, Sally Bollywood and The Basketeers. It also produces drama series such as Studio 24 and Life Lines.
Morchoisne has been in the business since 1990 and has held roles at companies Pixibox, AB Productions and Animage. Her credits include The Minimighty Kids, Dragon Hunters and Miniscule, which broadcasted on France 2, Disney Channel France and BBC Four in the UK.
Tele Images has also promoted head of productions and funding Ingrid Libercier to the role of general counsel and production manager Cécile Sady to animation producer.
