Digital company Monterosa sets up formats division

UK new media consultancy and interactive software developer Monterosa has launched a formats company, Monterosa Formats.

The company will specialise in digital formats and has already had one, Run, commissioned by BBC kids channel CBBC.

The interactive format is running on the CBBC website and marks the first time the BBC has run an online event.

Monterosa’s formats will be represented by talent agency UTA in the US and it is also working with Warners’ recently inaugurated digital studio Warner Bros 2.0 to deliver an online gameshow, Top Half.

Monterosa Formats will be selling both Run and Top Half at MIP TV.
