News brief: Ovation buys sound and music series

US cable net Ovation has bought a pair of series from Netherlands-based distributor FCCE.

The arts and culture channel has picked up 12x30mins Wall of Sound, a weekly music magazine series featuring news, gossip and music chart news.

It has also acquired 12x30mins Film & Stars, a weekly film-based magazine show covering new releases and movie star news.

Scott Woodward, executive VP, programming and production, Ovation TV, said: “These series are focused on the contemporary music and film scenes and will keep our viewers up to date on the latest news and events. They are a great complement to our music documentary and film programming.”
