Nat Geo takes global rights to war doc Sacrifice

National Geographic has acquired worldwide rights, excluding France, Canada and China, to Sacrifice.

The landmark World War II doc is from the same team that made Apocalypse and World War 2 in HD and follows the immediate aftermath of the liberation of Paris from the Germans.

It was commissioned for French commercial broadcaster TF1 and is distributed internationally by Zed.

The Nat Geo deal means the 2x52mins doc will go out on the international Nat Geo channels as well as the core US service.
