Ginny & Georgia and Sly producer Critical Content has struck a first-look production deal with ITV Studios France, as well as a first-look distribution pact with Be-Entertainment in Belgium for formats landing on its DPG Media Channels.

The deals were made as part of a growth initiative by Critical Content to launch its formats internationally, with further deals being sought by the company’s recently appointed EVP of global formats & development, Stéfanie Gelinas.

Critical Content is behind formats including Catfish, the Kevin Hart-hosted Celebrity Game Face and Great Food Truck Race as well as newer formats like Instant Dream Home and Reese Witherspoon’s Get Organized With The Home Edit.

ITV Studios France is meanwhile known for formats including the French versions of The Voice and The Voice Kids for TF1, 4 Mariages Pour 1 Lune De Miel for TFX, Destination X for M6, and Comedy Class, Cosmic Love for Amazon Prime Video.

Launched in 2017, Be-Entertainment has a slate of formats including Destination X, Musical Of Your Life, The Way Out and Finder$ Keeper$.

“Our partnerships with ITV Studios France and Be Entertainment reflect Critical Content’s goals of expanding our format footprint beyond US sales,” said Jenny Daly, president of Critical Content. “ITV Studios France is the leading creative powerhouse in France; we are thrilled to align our original creative with their immense success in launching both original and global formats.

“Though Belgium may be a smaller territory, it has launched a multitude of international successes, much due to Be-Entertainment’s innovation. They have had great success across all sub-genres, from the entertaining family game Finder$ Keeper$ to adventure reality with Destination X, that I am honored to be in partnership with such a creative group.”
