CBS in the US has cancelled a pair of scripted shows, crime drama CSI: Vegas and legal comedy-drama So Help Me Todd.

Both shows are to air their season finales, which will now serve as series finales, next month.

Created and executive produced by Jason Tracey, CSI: Vegas launched in 2021 as a continuation of the franchise-spawning CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, which ran from 2000 to 2015. It is currently airing its third season on CBS.

The show, which hails from CBS Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer Television, was the fifth show in the crime franchise and starred Paula Newsome and Matt Lauria, with CSI leads William Petersen and Jorja Fox also returning for just the first season.

So Help Me Todd, which is in its second season, meanwhile, hailed from CBS Studios and Stage 29 Productions, and starred Marcia Gay Harden and Skylar Astin, following the story of a directionless private investigator who goes to work at his mother’s law firm. Scott Prendergast is creator and executive producer, alongside showrunner Elizabeth Klaviter.

These cancellations comes after several scripted orders from CBS, including an unexpected eighth season renewal for S.W.A.T. and extensions for both Fire Country and Ghosts. CBS has also recently ordered a spin-off from comedy Young Sheldon, crime drama prequel show NCIS: Origins and daytime drama The Gates.
