Satisfaction Iberia, the recently launched Spain-based prodco led by former Mediacrest executive director Daniel Domenjó, has hired David Llanes and Jordi Rosell as its first content managers.

Llanes and Rosell will be in charge of content, international business and executive production at the company, which was unveiled in November.

They report into Domenjó and will be responsible for attracting international formats for both Spain and Portugal, working across their adaptation and “weaving strategic alliances” with international partners.

They will also look to build on partnerships struck via French parent Satisfaction Group and participating in the developments of these formats.

Llanes has been in the business almost two decades and worked with production companies such as Mediapro’s El Terrat, Mediacrest and La Fábrica de la Tele. He has credits on shows including The Floor for Antena 3 and Necesito Ayuda for ETB2.

Rosell, who is joining initially as executive producer and consultant, has spent 25 years in the industry and has worked on local versions of MasterChef, Operación Triunfo (aka Star Academy) and Mira Quién Baila (aka Dancing With The Stars).

Domenjó, who told TBI en Español earlier this year that his company’s launch highlighted the surge in interest for Spanish content, said Llanes’s “talent and vision, combined with the extensive knowledge” would “bring the kind of talent, passion and commitment we seek in the company.”

Of Rosell, Domenjó added: “He has worked for many audiovisual production companies and is a great connoisseur of national and regional channels and has a strategic vision to advise on entertainment productions.”

Satisfaction Iberia is focused mainly on entertainment but also has projects in fiction and documentary genres. It is centred on creating, adapting and producing for networks and platforms in Spain, Portugal, Latin America and US Hispanic.
