Stuart Ford’s AGC Television to adapt ‘Hook’s Daughter: The Pirate Princess Chronicles’

Stuart Ford’s AGC Television is adapting R.V. Bowman’s Hook’s Daughter book series for TV.

The family show will be based on Hook’s Daughter: The Pirate Princess Chronicles, which follows a 16-year-old girl who breaks out of her boarding school when her sea captain father fails to turn up for his annual visit.

Se is shocked to find he is on a magical island called Neverland and is known as the villainous Captain Hook. But when she uncovers family secrets, she also discovers the real villain just might be Peter Pan.

Thor Freudenthal (Carnival Row) is attached to direct and Lucy Brown (Bride Or Groom) is adapting the YA fantasy adventure trilogy. AGC chief creative officer Lourdes Diaz and YA division head Aghi Koh exec produce alongside Ford.

Freudenthal most recently developed and directed limited series The Therapy, which is based on the titular best-seller for Amazon.
