Netflix has greenlit Roosters, a new Dutch comedy series about four friends trying to survive in a “new era, new man” environment.

Hollands Licht is producing the series, which is coming to the streamer in 2025, with Luuk van Bemmelen and Richard Kemper writing and Anna van der Heide and Anna van Keimpema directing.

Jeroen Spitzenberger, Waldemar Torenstra, André Dongelmans and Benja Bruijning head the cast of the series that follows Dutch forty-somethings Mike, Ivo, Daan and Greg who all feel lost in the new world of empowered women.

The series follows the tight-knit group of friends in the midst of their crisis of masculinity, each desperately trying to salvage what’s left of their relationships and careers.
