Netflix eyes NBA docuseries with LeBron James, Peyton Manning & Obama prodcos attached

Netflix is looking to up the ante on its sports programming, this time with an NBA docuseries that reportedly has LeBron James’ prodco and the Obama’s Higher Ground Productions attached.

Details of the show remain scant but according to the Wall Street Journal, James’ label SpringHill Company and Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions are working with Higher Ground on the series that will explore life in the NBA.

The news, which has not been confirmed by Netflix, comes less than a week after the streamer confirmed a move into live sports with a celeb-led golfing tournament.

Manning’s Omaha Prods and James’s SpringHill are well versed in working with streamer: the former produced Quarterback for Netflix in partnership with the NFL, while SpringHill has been behind basketball movie Hustle.
