France’s TF1 picks up ‘The Good Wife’ spin-off ‘Elsbeth’ from CBS Studios

TF1 in France has acquired Elsbeth, CBS Studios’ spin-off series from The Good Wife and The Good Fight.

The series stars Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni, an astute but unconventional attorney who utilises her singular point of view to make unique observations and corner brilliant criminals alongside the NYPD

Distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution and produced by CBS Studios, Elsbeth is executive produced by Robert and Michelle King, Liz Glotzer and Jonathan Tolins.

“Elsbeth is a series created around a strong, charismatic character, just as we like them at TF1,” said Sophie Leveaux, artistic director of acquisitions & international drama development at TF1.

“The recognised expertise of the producers has made The Good Wife universe a TV series loved by audiences and Elsbeth will be a great asset to TF1’s programming.”
