Fox takes Talpa’s ‘Floor’ into US after deal with ‘Holey Moley’ firm Eureka
US broadcast network Fox has picked up rights to Talpa format The Floor, after Eureka Productions took the show into the country last year.
The Floor sees 100 quiz fanatics face off in quiz duels on a giant LED floor divided into one hundred equal squares, each representing its own field of knowledge. The goal is to conquer the entire floor and take home a cash prize.
It was created by John de Mol’s Talpa Concepts and is sold by Talpa Distribution, with Eureka – producer of Fox show Holey Moley – taking it into the US last year.
The format debuted last year on RTL4 in the Netherlands and has since been sold to France Télévisions, which is debuting its version next month. A UK show had been in the works with Youngest Media, before it was shuttered earlier this year.
