Fremantle ups veteran exec to CEO of Asia & Latin America

America’s Got Talent

Fremantle has promoted veteran exec Ganesh Rajaram to CEO of Asia and Latin America.

In his new role, Rajaram will oversee all aspects of Fremantle’s production business in these regions, with the managing directors for India, Mexico and Indonesia all reporting to him.

Singapore-based Rajaram will report directly to Fremantle Group CEO Jennifer Mullin and will begin his new role on 1 January 2023.

During his 17 years at Fremantle, Rajaram has struck deals with pan-regional broadcasters like Fox and Sony for entertainment titles such as America’s Got Talent, American Idol and The X Factor UK, as well as selling scripted shows like American Gods to Youku in China and Beecham House to Netflix India.

Haryaty Rahman has been named EVP of sales for Asia to replace Rajaram, and will now oversee Fremantle’s distribution business across the region, having previously served as SVP. Also based in Singapore, Rahman will report to Jens Richter, Fremantle’s CEO, International.

“I am delighted for Ganesh on this well-deserved promotion to CEO of Asia and Latin America. His strategic vision, empathy and creativity will no doubt ensure continued growth and prosperity in the region,” said Richter.

“Haryaty’s unrivaled knowledge and relationships with broadcasters and producers across Asia has helped put the Fremantle name and our brilliant content in front of huge audiences in the region,” he added.
