Reporting to Amazon’s VP of Prime Video in Europe, Barry Furlong, Pflüger oversaw the SVOD’s operations across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Its slate includes comedy show LOL – Last One Laughing, produced by Constantin Entertainment, as well as Fremantle’s We Children Of Bahnhof Zoo.

Announcing his departure on social media, Pflüger wrote: “Goodbye Amazon. – I’ve had an incredibly inspiring and insightful time at Prime Video. It’s been really eye-opening to discover an industry that I thought I knew so well, from a totally different perspective.”

Prior to Prime Video, Pfluger joined German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 in 2013 and took charge two years later, before moving to a new role overseeing production at sibling Seven. One Entertainment in May 2021.
