Fate: The Winx Saga

‘Fate: Winx Saga’ world to continue after Netflix cancellation

The world of Netflix series Fate: The Winx Saga will live on following the cancellation of the live-action Netflix series, according to show creator Iginio Straffi.

The teen fantasy series, based on the animated Nickelodeon series Winx Club, was cancelled this week after two seasons on the global streamer.

However, taking to social media, Straffi revealed he is working on “many exciting Winx projects in the near future,” including a “brand new CG Winx animated series reboot” and a “big budget Winx movie”.

Furia

Viaplay extends ‘Furia’

Nordic streamer Viaplay has extended drama series Furia for a second season.

Created by Gjermund Stenberg Eriksen, the series is set in the world of right wing terrorism and is co-produced by Paprika Studios, part of Viaplay Studios, and Monster Scripted, with global sales handled by Viaplay Content Distribution.

The second season takes place two years after the first, following security police agents Ragna (Ine Marie Wilmann) and Asgeir (Pål Sverre Hagen) as they continue to battle extremist forces in Norway.

However, when an undercover mission goes wrong, the two are forced into a new race against time to foil a terrorist plot that takes them from the Arctic landscape of Lofoten to Budapest’s cobbled streets and the bustling heart of Warsaw.
