Dynamic Television hires Kew Media veteran to head up scripted development
LA-based Dynamic Television has appointed former Kew Media Group veteran Carrie Stein as president of scripted TV.
Stein will be responsible for leading Dynamic’s US scripted development slate and expanding its portfolio of global drama through acquisitions and strategic partnerships. She will report directly to Dan March, managing partner.
Stein joins the company from AfterShock Media, which she joined in 2020, leading its global film and TV business, working to expand its comic book slate internationally, and forging relationships with producers, writers, and platforms.
Prior to working with AfterShock, Stein held several high-profile roles, including heading up global scripted television at Entertainment One (eOne) and as EVP of global scripted series at the now defunct Kew Media Group, where she was responsible for creating and building its global scripted drama business.
“Carrie is a very accomplished and respected executive and one of the few who can navigate the US, UK, Canadian, and European markets both creatively and commercially. Her experience, knowledge, and understanding of our interconnected industry will be a tremendous asset to Dynamic,” said March.
“I’m thrilled to join Dynamic after closely watching the company ascend over the past few years. Dan and Klaus have built a robust global production and distribution company that is passionate creatively with strong development teams in both Europe and the US,” added Stein. “It’s the perfect opportunity for me, combining my experience working with producers and platforms globally, along with my many years navigating drama series in the U.S. market.”
