Apple TV+ inks first-look deal with Natasha Lyonne & Maya Rudolph’s Animal Pictures

Apple TV+ has signed a multi-year deal with Natasha Lyonne and Maya Rudolph’s Animal Pictures.

The agreement gives the Apple-owned SVOD a first look at series and digital feature developed and produced by Animal Pictures and comes after the streamer’s launch of its original series Loot, which was co-produced by the prodco and stars Rudolph.

The series follows a billionaire whose life is turned upside down when she discovers her husband has been lying to her for 20 years – but finds unexpected help from a charitable foundation.

Animal Pictures was founded in 2018 by US actors Lyonne and Rudolph, alongside producer Danielle Renfrew Behrens. The company is also producer on Netflix comedy-drama Russian Doll, which is co-created by and stars Lyonne.

Other projects on its slate include Peacock mystery drama Poker Face and adult animated series The Hospital on Amazon Prime Video.
