Paramount+ strikes TVing deal to power South Korea launch

Paramount+ has continued its international expansion, rolling out in South Korea.

The SVOD is available in the country via CJ ENM-owned streaming platform TVing, with existing subscribers gaining access to Paramount+ content at no additional cost.

High-profile titles streaming exclusively on Paramount+ includes originals like Halo and Yellowjackets, along with classic movie titles including The Godfather and Top Gun.

The launch is part of a strategic global partnership between Paramount Global and CJ ENM that includes content licensing and distribution across Paramount+ and TVing, as well as seven Korean original series including sci-fi drama series Yonder which will premiere later this year.

Mark Specht, EVP and MD, central & northern Europe and Asia, Paramount, said: “The launch of Paramount+ in Korea with TVING marks a pivotal moment in our expansion, as we introduce our premium streaming service to Asia.”

Jay Yang, CEO of TVing, added that “various K-content that will enter the global market through the partnership.”
