Red Arrow Studios Int’l VP of sales & acquisitions departs
Red Arrow Studios International (RASI)’s VP of sales & acquisitions Shirley Bowers has left the Love Is Blind distributor.
Bowers had been leading Red Arrow’s sales activities in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand since 2016, based out of LA.
However, in a post on LinkedIn, she revealed she has now left RASI, which is part of ProSiebenSat.1. Her next move is not yet known.
Bowers’ remit had included working across North American factual acquisitions, while also overseeing Red Arrow’s scripted and unscripted acquisitions teams.
TBI understands a replacement for Bowers is in the works, but has not yet been announced.
Prior to joining RASI, Bowers was director of global content sales at Fox International Channels between 2014 and 2016. She also spent a decade overseeing sales at National Geographic Channel.
Her exit follows a tumultuous two years for ProSieben-owned Red Arrow Studios, which has been behind an array of shows including Love is Blind for Netflix, Bosch for Amazon, Married At First Sight for Lifetime, and Vienna Blood for ZDF/ORF.
The production and distribution division had been up for sale in early 2020 with All3Media close to a deal, but the acquisition fell through as the pandemic hit.
Numerous execs then departed as the outfit refocused on the German market, with Red Arrow’s creative chief Nina Etspueler and CEO James Baker both exiting, as well as RASI’s former president Bo Stehmeir, who joined ZDF Enterprises-owned Off The Fence.
