Walter Presents brings Spanish drama ‘La Otra Mirada’ to North America

Global drama streaming brand Walter Presents has acquired the rights to Spanish series La Otra Mirada for the US and Canada.

The deal includes two seasons of the series, which is produced by Spanish broadcaster RTVE for its La 1 network.

The show will be available on the Walter Presents platform via PBS Masterpiece on Amazon Prime video channels in the US and Canada and Comcast Xfinity X1. It will also be available on Roku in the US from next year.

The series begins in 1920s Seville, where Teresa, a woman with a mysterious past, flees to a young ladies’ finishing school.

Last week, Walter Presents struck a deal with NTV to bring Russian drama Murderous Fever to the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

The service is led by Walter Iuzzolino, whose London-based production company Eagle Eye Drama is behind 1920s drama Hotel Portofino, which was also recently boarded by ITV and BritBox.
