Banijay Rights, the distribution arm of European production giant Banijay, has signed a first-look deal with UK indie prodco Nineteen11.

The agreement will give Banijay Rights exclusive access to a range of programming, covering documentaries, factual entertainment, and reality TV. The company previously distributed Nineteen11’s The Posh Frock Shop to more than 50 territories.

The first shows to come from the deal agreement are Channel 4 titles The Pet Talent Agency: Barking Mad and Swingers.

Nineteen11 CEO and in-house EP Brian Hayes, has worked in the TV industry for more than 25 years, directing series such as First Dates for Channel 4 and GPs: Behind Closed Doors for Channel 5.

He commented: “I’m delighted to have cemented Nineteen11’s successful relationship with Banijay Rights.  They represented The Posh Frock Shop impressively, giving us access to a very wide and diverse range of international buyers.”

Emily Elisha, head of factual at Banijay Rights, added: “We are really excited to have partnered with Nineteen11. Brian has a keen eye for characters and settings that tell great stories and these latest films are further brilliant examples of that.”
