Endemol Shine Boomdog lines up ‘Gente Maravillosa’ for US and Mexico

Endemol Shine Boomdog has teamed with Glowstar Media and Sinapsis Production to produce and distribute Spanish reality format Gente Maravillosa in the US and Mexico.

Gente Maravillosa (Wonderful People) has aired weekly in Spain on Canal Sur since 2017, using hidden filming to see how people react in situations of discrimination and injustice. It is produced by Happy Ending TV.

“Gente Maravillosa is the perfect format to bring to this market right now, it has a big heart and the public will really enjoy this one for sure,” says Endemol Shine Boomdog’s CEO, Alejandro Rincon. “The series has already been a great success in Spain and we are delighted to produce it here with the Glowstar Media and Sinapsis teams.”

Endemol Shine Boomdog was formed in November of 2017, when Endemol Shine North America merged its Spanish language division Endemol Shine Latino with Mexico City-based producer Boomdog.

Glowstar is a content and management company led by Silvana D’Angelo. Sinapsis is a production studio and television content consulting agency, led by Marcos Gorban.
