Quintus picks up OTF factual package

Germany’s Quintus Media has picked up a raft of programming for its YouTube channel Free Documentary from ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE)-owned Off The Fence (OTF).

The package includes more than 40 hours of factual programming including OTF Productions’ Supercars: The Million Pound Motors (1 x 60 minutes), Forever Young (1 x 60 minutes) from Tell Tale Productions Inc, and Mindful Media’s Are You Racist? (1 x 60 minutes).

Joined Up Films’s My Mum Talks To Aliens (1 x 60 minutes), Lifers: Behind Bars (2 x 60 minutes) from Firecrest Films Ltd and Chain Gang Girls (pictured; 2 x 60 minutes) by Hoff Productions have also been acquired.

Gerrit Kemming, founder of Quintus, said: “We are not in the position to co-fund projects yet, but we are definitely starting to become a lucrative second and third-window exploitation alternative for producers and distributors.”

OTF was acquired by ZDFE in January and rejigged its senior management team two months later, with Ralf Rückauer appointed joint CEO with founder Ellen Windemuth.
