Princess Pictures hires Film Victoria chief as MD
Australia’s Princess Pictures has hired Film Victoria’s Jenni Tosi as managing director.
The hire was made by the company as it looks to expand its market connections.
Tosi was previously CEO of Film Victoria for six years, where she raised the state’s production activity and introduced initiatives aimed at expanding production and developing talent.
Before joining Film Victoria, Tosi was an independent producer and consultant for titles such as Holly’s Heroes, Macbeth and The Legacy of the Silver Shadow.
Laura Waters said: “We have an ambitious and exciting slate planned and are thrilled to have Jenni on board to help steer the company through the next phase of growth.
Tosi added: “I’m delighted to be joining the talented team at Princess Pictures. They have a terrific slate and we’re going to have a lot of fun as we build the company’s presence in the international marketplace.”
Founded by Laura Waters, Andrea Denholm, Paul Walton and Emma Fitzsimons, the company has two series currently in production: How To Stay Married for Network Ten and Superwog for ABC and YouTube. It is developing a number of drama series and formats for the local and international market.
