Netflix, working with Condé Nast Entertainment, is set to make a reality show about cricket for India, which follows the Mumbai Indians team.
The eight-part series will follow the team in the lead up to the Indian Premier League as they attempt to win for the fourth time. It will have exclusive access to the players including Jasprit Bumrah, Padya brothers Hardik and Krunal, Ambati Rayudu, Yuzvendra Chahal.
Produced by Condé Nast Entertainment, the series will be available exclusively on Netflix to over 117 million members in 190 countries around the world.
Executive producers include Al Edgington, Joe LaBracio, Dawn Ostroff, Jeremy Finn, Jamie Stewart and James Maby.
This marks Netflix’s continuing effort to draw Indian audiences to the streamer, as research shows it has struggled to make an impact in the market.
In recent months, it has invested in a range of Indian drama with titles such as Selection Day and Again.
