Netflix is set for a new drama series based on the book Cursed by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler, which re-imagines the Arthurian legend.

Based on the upcoming book of the same name, Cursed is told through the eyes of Nimue, a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake.

After her mother’s death she finds and unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword.

Frank Miller (pictured), popular comic book writer of 300, Sin City and Ronin, and Tom Wheeler are co-creators and executive producers of the series.

Wheeler will write the companion book Cursed, which Miller will illustrate. It is set to be published by Simon & Schuster in autumn 2019.
