Berg Bjärtan to lead sales for SF Studios

SF Studios is pushing deeper into international content sales with Elsa Berg Bjärtan taking over distribution.

The exec has been leading digital services at the Stockholm-based company, but will now be executive VP of distribution.

The post covers acquisitions, sales and marketing of film and television content across all windows in the Nordic and international markets.

SF Studios described the move as “a very important step in the company’s strategy and ambition to strengthen its distribution business even further”.

Much of the focus on international business has come under former Endemol Shine Nordics CEO Michael Porseryd, who replaced Jonas Fors in September 2016.

Among his moves have been to launch a UK office, with Kate Myers leading it.

“I am looking forward to work closely together with SF Studios competent team and partners throughout the Nordics to drive change and outline a clear vision and strategy for the distribution business going forward,” said Berg Bjärtan.

“Our ambition is set high and I am sure it is going to be an intense, challenging and inspiring journey ahead.”
