Xilam staffs up with digital hire
French toon house Xilam Animation has followed up the hire of Morgann Favennec by bringing on a marketing and digital specialist.
Nicolas Halftermeyer (pictured) has been drafted in as senior VP of marketing and digital from drone maker Parrot, and will work on strategies that increase Xilam series’ brand recognition and online revenues.
He will report to Favennec, who recently joining from Superrights to become executive VP of development and global sales.
Company founder and president Marc du Pontavice said Halftermeyer’s “expertise in digital marketing will help Xilam expand the brand awareness of its characters, initiate new growth opportunities and overall mark an important next step”.
Halftermeyer has worked for VOD start-ups such as smart TV manufacturer Netgem and SVOD-focused firm Glowria, which merged with Video Futur.
He has also produced online videos for the likes of Pewdiepie and Cyprien while at Parrot.
Euronext-listed Xilam is best known for series such as Oggy & the Cockroaches, The Daltons and Paprika.
