NBCU makes splash with ITV’s Loch Ness deals

Scripted-logo-460_2NBCUniversal International Networks has bought upcoming ITV mystery drama Loch Ness for territories in Europe.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment has shopped NBCU rights to the ITV Studios-produced six-parter for the 13th Street thematic channel in France, Spain, Germany and Poland.

“As the channel dedicated to the best in crime and suspense drama, 13th Street is the perfect home for this unique, murder mystery,” said Steve Patscheck, executive VP, global programming, NBCUIN.

ITV commissioned the drama earlier this month. It is set on the shores of Scotland’s Loch Ness and follows a local detective (Laura Franses) hunting for a serial killer. Stephen Bradley (Fortitude) is the writer.

Production began in Scotland this month, and will launch on ITV early in 2017.
