All ABC Oz nets now streaming

Australian pubcaster the ABC is now offering viewers access to all of its channels via streaming platform iView.

From today ABC2, ABC3, ABC Kids and ABC News 24 will be available live on computers, smartphones and tablets. All live-streams will reflect ABC’s Sydney, New South Wales schedule.

Networks Seven, Nine and Ten – ABC’s main commercial rivals – already offer live streams of their channel bouquets.

The iView platform is also continuing to ramp up its exclusive, original programming offer. Moment of Truth, a 10x10mins documentary series about the hidden lives of Australians, debuts today.

Alternative media satire DAFUQ?, comedy The Katering Show, indigenous factual series Black As and upcoming entertainment show You Can’t Ask That are also offered exclusively through iView.

iView launched in 2008, offering streamed programming. According to the Nielsen Australian Connected Consumers Report from February 2015, it is Australia’s most-used video-on-demand service. It accounts for more than 50% of total minutes viewed across the leading TV broadcasters, and OzTAM’s Video Player Measurement Report has revealed.
