eOne expands pact with Private Eyes pair
Entertainment One Television has expanded its relationship with scritped producers Shawn Piller and Lloyd Segan by securing a multi-year first-look deal.
eOne first worked with prodco Piller Segan on Haven eight years ago, and recently teamed again for Jason Priestley procedural Private Eyes.
The pair has now formalised the relationship by signing a deal. This will see eOne act as studio, deficit financier and worldwide distributor of all TV and digital projects from Piller Segan, which has produced more than 300 hours of programming.
“Shawn and Lloyd are both exceptionally talented producers and fantastic guys,” said John Morayniss, CEO, eOne Television.
They have incredible instincts and truly understand what it takes to create compelling television for worldwide audiences.”
“As an innovative, entrepreneurial, independent studio with global reach, eOne can take our shows to new heights and audiences,” said Piller.
Piller Segan’s credits include The Dead Zone for USA Network, Wildfire and Greek for Freeform and Syfy’s for Freeform and Syfy’s for Freeform and Syfy’s Haven, all of which have gone to multiple seasons.
Last September, eOne tied another long-term drama production partner ICF Films (Rookie Blue) to a similar multi-year deal.
