Viacom has recruited Amit Arora for a newly-created strategy role within its Asian operation.
Arora joins Viacom International Media Networks from BBC Worldwide, where he was head of strategy and business development for Asia.
At VIMN he will be based in Singapore and report to regional executive VP and managing director Mark Whitehead.
“We are thrilled to have Amit join the VIMN family. Amit has a strong track record in driving business growth and executing new channel and digital expansion,” Whitehead said.
He added: “His outstanding analytical and strategic abilities coupled with extensive knowledge in the media and telecom sectors enable him to develop effective growth strategies.”
Prior to Worldwide, Arora was with Disney, Turner and Time Warner Cable.
