MGM strikes TV deal with Mandabach
US studio MGM has struck a TV deal with Caryn Mandabach Productions.
The UK arm of the US prodco makes BBC drama Peaky Blinders and Mandabach’s roster of US hits includes Roseanne and Nurse Jackie.
The multiyear deal with MGM will see the prodco develop half-hour and hour-long series out of the US.
Roma Khanna (left), president, Television Group and Digital at MGM said: “Caryn is a prolific veteran of the industry and is the driving force behind some of television’s most creative and intriguing series. We are thrilled to work together on bringing new stories to the marketplace.”
Mandabach added: “CMP is committed to making engaging, relevant and groundbreaking drama. Now, with MGM we are very well-positioned to develop an exceptional slate. The whole CMP team is excited by the potential this partnership offers.”
Mandabach’s London based will continue its existing first-look arrangement with Content Media Corporation.
