Condé Nast adds exec
The entertainment division of publisher Condé Nast has hired Jennifer Salant as vice president, business development.
Salant (pictured) joins Condé Nast Entertainment (CNÉ) from Mode Media (fka Glam Media). At CNÉ she will lead the business development team and oversee content licensing.
She will also work on The Scene, the CNÉ video platform that showcases premium digital content from publishing brands including GQ, Wired, Vanity Fair and Vogue.
The CNÉ new recruit will report to Joy Marcus, company executive vice president and general manager, and who joined from Dailymotion earlier this year.
Marcus said: “Jennifer has an impressive track record developing strategic partnerships and growth for digital companies like Mode Media. That experience, combined with her strong industry relationships, will play a critical role as we grow The Scene’s content offerings and distribution across all screens.”
Salant added: “I am excited to leverage my digital and business development experience to help the CNÉ digital video business continue on its growth path and to develop exciting new strategic partnerships.”
