9 Story poaches Hit exec for distribution
Canada-based kids producer and distributor 9 Story has hired Claudia Balzer Scott-Hansen from Hit Entertainment for a newly-created sales role.
At 9 Story, Scott-Hansen will be vice president, distribution, reporting to managing director Natalie Osborne. She will be based in New York.
At Hit, Scott-Hansen was senior VP, group director, broadcast for the Americas and EMEA. Prior to that she was BBC Worldwide’s London-based head of formats and head of Southern European distribution.
“Claudia’s experience with iconic children’s brands across international sales, marketing and licensing will be a tremendous asset to 9 Story,” said Osborne (right).
“Her expertise will be extremely valuable to the continued growth of our distribution division and the expansion of new M&L lines of business.”
9 Story Media Group recently acquired Irish toon studio Brown Bag Films. Its key kids include Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood, Wild Kratts and Peg + Cat.
