Sky goes Missing in Germany
Sky Deutschland has acquired UK kidnap drama The Missing.
The eight-part show debuted on the BBC in the UK and is distributed internationally by All3Media. Sky Deutschland will run the series on its Sky Atlantic channel.
The series, which follows a desperate father’s attempts to find his son who went missing on family holiday years earlier, is made by All3Media-backed New Pictures.
Other international buyers include French free-to-air net TF1. In the US the series played on Starz and the premium cable net and the BBC have jointly ordered a second season.
Sky Deutschland will preview the series on its Sky Crime channel in late September, before its settles into its regular Friday 9pm slot on the Sky Atlantic service, starting October 2.
