Android tries on YouTube smartwatch app
Google app developer Appfour has launched a YouTube video player for Android smartwatches, enabling users of the devices to watch YouTube videos from their wrists.
The app features full Bluetooth headphone and speaker support and the ability to cast videos to Chromecast dongles and use the watch as a remote control for the TV.
It also enables users to search videos and provides predictive search capability along with links to related videos and video view descriptions.
The app also features pause, resume, seek and change volume functions, while the full version of the app enables users to customers their YouTube viewing by choosing channels to show on their watches. It also includes the ability to make in-app purchases of premium videos.
The app works with devices featuring Android 4.3 and above.
