Spike makes Senior hire from Endemol Shine
US cable channel Spike TV has poached the CEO of Endemol Shine North America-owned formats company Ardaban to become its senior VP, original series.
Chachi Senior will lead Spike’s non-scripted development team, reporting to executive VP, original series Sharon Levy, as Viacom-owned Spike attempts to attract a more gender-neutral audience than the male-skew it is known for.
Senior was previously chief exec of Ardaban, which was part of Shine America before Endemol and Shine Group joined forces and later launched Endemol Shine North America.
Ardaban developed formats for the US and global markets, which were then sold by Shine International (now Endemol Shine International).
Before launching Ardaban, Senior was co-president of IAC-owned production company Notional, and also time at City Lights Media, AMC Networks and First Motionless Pictures.
As the ever-evolving cable TV network landscape jockeys its way into the future, Spike is perfectly positioned to provide the winning vantage point for viewers,” said Senior.
