BBC, Starz find The Missing for a second season
The BBC and Starz have jointly ordered a second season of hit drama The Missing.
The first season of the heavily serialised drama has performed well for UK pubcaster the BBC and US premium cable net Starz. It tells the story of a father desperately searching for his son, year after he goes missing while on a family holiday.
A new eight-part series will be penned by the same writing team of Harry and Jack Williams. Season two will unfold over two time frames and follow a new case, with new characters and new location.
The Missing is produced by New Pictures, Two Brothers Pictures and Playground Entertainment.
All3Media International handles international sales and has shopped it to broadcasters including TF1 in France.
