Twofour Arabia hires general manager

UK-based producer and distributor Twofour has recruited Yara Awad as general manager of its UAE-based operation.

Previously an executive producer, Awad will work out of Twofour Arabia’s offices in Twofour54, Abu Dhabi, overseeing the production activities and team. She has been working with Twofour in recent months after a stint at the Dubai One channel where she launched the network’s first daily live lifestyle show, Studio One.

She will report to Jonney Steven, Twofour’s Head of MENA. He said: “Yara has done an excellent job creatively leading some of our most important projects in Abu Dhabi over the last year, so I’m thrilled that she’s taking the helm at Twofour Arabia.”

Awad added: “It’s a very exciting time for Twofour Arabia as we continue to build on our previous successes and  expand our business across the region.”
