News brief: Netflix recruits ex-Nick development exec

Netflix has hired Brian Wright, the former Nickelodeon development executive, as it looks to increase its kids TV output.

Wright will report into Cindy Holland, the VP of original content at the US-listed streaming service and work across its upcoming kids offerings. He left Viacom’s kids network Nick earlier this year after a stint as senior VP, live-action development.

His move to Netflix was first reported by Hollywood news site Deadline.
