Sony and Telemundo ink three series production pact

Sony Pictures Television will make a series a year, for three years, for Hispanic broadcaster Telemundo under the terms of a production pact.

The first project will enter production next year. NBCUniversal-owned Telemundo will distribute the resulting series through sales arm Telemundo International.

No details are available yet about the first series, but Telemundo said its own production unit, Telemundo Studios, will be working with SPT’s Colombia-based production company Teleset.

Marcos Santana, president, Telemundo International said: “This agreement will provide us with appealing and attractive content at the level our international clients have come to expect from Telemundo Internacional.”
