The Zhe Jiang Satellite TV show follows the professional and romantic lives of a group of three men from different backgrounds – and has been dubbed the male Sex and the City in Asia.
The cast for the new series will feature of a mix of Korean and Chinese talent. Running to 36 installments, We Are Men 2 will debut next year.
Kim Hyun-sung, head of CJ E&M’s drama business department said he hoped the Korea-China deal would spur further content deals between the countries: “We also see this project as a springboard to future co-production efforts covering different genres which feature terrific, world-class content and continue to promote cultural exchange between Korea and China.”
