Channel 4 attends Stammer School
The UK’s Channel 4 is building up its successful fixed-rig ob docs strategy with the commission of Stammer School (WT).
The show will follow Musharaf Asghar, known in Britain as Mushy, featured as a student in C4’s fixed rig series Educating Yorkshire who worked to beat a crippling stammer while studying for exams.
Channel 4 said the show, from UK producer Twofour, was part of a wider strategy to cover topics that resonate with younger viewers “in a meaningful way”. Education editor Bec MIlligan commissioned the programme.
“Stammer School is a fantastic reflection of our current education strategy, it tackles issues relevant to a young audience in an engaging and inspiring way,” said Milligan.
