Turkey’s Light attracts ProSieben

German broadcaster ProSieben has ordered its own version of Turkish singing format Keep Your Light Shining.

The show will debut live on the network on May 22, with prodco Tresor (Next Top Model, Popstars) attached on production duties. X Factor UK judge and boyband singer Gary Barlow will be a judge on the weekly primetime show.

ProSieben has signed the format from Turkey’s Global Agency, which has already shopped a full season remake to China’s Zhejiang TV and a pilot to CBS in the US.

“I’m quite sure the audiences will really like this unique show with its strong visual appeal and plenty of interactivity,” said Global Agency CEO Izzet Pinto. “It has already turned into one of the hottest titles in our catalogue.
